What is astrology?

Fundamentally, astrology is the study of energy patterns. It sounds fairly simple, but it is actually quite complex. In fact, the reason that so many skeptics question the validity and utility of astrology is because so very few people truly understand how to decipher the sky’s language. Most folks know their Sun sign, and many even know what their Sun sign traits are; but the Sun is just one piece of a very large puzzle. Looked at in isolation, the Sun sign actually gives very little insight into a person’s overall personality. Like a jigsaw puzzle, the image of your unique soul won't come into focus unless and until all of the pieces are sorted out, and put together in the correct order.

Using your date, time, and place of birth, an experienced astrologer can see just about everything there is to see about who you are, what energy patterns have been at play throughout your life, and the very purpose of your soul’s current journey through Earth school. Combining physics, basic geometry, psychology and other behavioral sciences, astrology is the multi-dimensional study of the path we chose to walk during this life. Your higher self gave you a map to consult when you incarnated here, and the light language of astrology is how you read it. As above, so below!

What does an astrology reading tell you?

Astrology is very comprehensive, and can tell you virtually anything you want to know about yourself. Readings can be focused on several distinct topics: your overall personality, soul strengths and weaknesses, areas of your life that are being energized, what (if any) planetary retrogrades will most affect you, where you are on your karmic path and key dates to watch for in the near future. Perhaps the most beneficial lesson one gains from an astrology reading is that absolutely nothing is random - everything that happens is the result of some energy pattern playing out in your natal chart. There is no such thing as coincidence! This realization helps people to more easily align with the energetic flow of their lives, so that they can manifest consistently, and live in abundance more readily.

How do you prepare for an astrology reading?

​

There is very little that you need to do to prepare for an astrology reading, unless you don’t have detailed birth information. In order to cast an accurate chart for you, I need the date, location, and exact time of your birth. All three are necessary. If you don’t know your birth time, you should prepare for your reading by finding it! If there are any specific areas of your life where you feel in need of guidance, you should make a note of them beforehand and alert me to them, so that we can be sure to address them for you during your reading. Similarly, some clients have had profound or traumatic things happen to them in their past, and they would like more information about what was going on energetically at the time. If this is the case for you, please write down the date(s) of the event(s), and share them in advance of your reading, so that we can examine the energy patterns from that time frame together. ​Other than that, there is really nothing more I need from you. Most readings occur completely off the cuff, with very little preparation on either side.

Can astrology predict the future?

​

Yes, but the experience will vary for each person, depending on the specifics of the chart. I incorporate many predictive astrology techniques into my readings, and I can isolate energy patterns that will affect you, often down to the exact day. However, not all energy patterns are created equally: some are quick, and will be very obvious in their effect, while others are slow, and cause change on a much deeper and more personal level. Energy can also manifest in an infinite number of ways, so it is important to stay open to several possibilities. For example, if your reading involves the energy of another person whose chart I can’t see, I cannot possibly predict how that person may or may not influence your patterns. You will have to take it as it comes. Which brings me to the issue of free will: no matter what the sky says, human beings have the gift of free will - we make choices every day. So, you may have amazing energy for manifesting a new job, a quality partner, a pregnancy, or whatever else it is that you desire; but, if you choose to stay in place energetically, and let the pattern(s) pass you by without doing any work, my predictions won’t be worth much.

Despite these disclaimers, I am frequently contacted by clients who tell me that a prediction that was made during their reading came to pass in the exact manner (and at the exact time) that I said it would. Astrology is remarkably accurate and, at times, incredibly literal in its application.

Do I have to live in the Boston area to get a reading?

​

Nope! I conduct readings for people all over the world. As long as I have accurate birth information from you, it doesn’t matter at all where you are located. You just have to be mindful of any time differences when you schedule, because I am in the United States, eastern timezone. Currently, just about all of my readings are conducted virtually via Zoom, so they can take place from anywhere.

 

Shortly after booking, you will receive a confirmation email, and then another email with the Zoom link. Zoom sessions will be recorded, and a copy of the recording will be emailed to you within a week of your reading.

 

I keep recordings on file for 30 days after the reading, but I am constantly having to delete them to free up space for new readings. Please be mindful of this if your recording is something you will want to hold onto long term.

So there's this guy (or girl)...

... Let me stop you right there, because the answer is probably no. I am constantly bombarded with the question of whether I will peek at someone else's chart during a reading. I get it, I really do. The urge to snoop into other people's energy is strong. But there are reasons why I won't do it, in most cases.

 

First and foremost, if you are coming to me for a reading, you are giving me permission to access your Akashic Records, your energy field, your higher self, your spirit guides, etc. And believe it or not, this permission is important for my work. It is one of the ways I ensure that the messages I channel for you aren't coming from some low level entity that might mean you harm. This is for your protection and mine. Your crush/narcissistic ex/potential twin flame etc. has not given me the requisite permission, so I will not conduct a psychic spy mission, and potentially open us all up to attack. If you are called to work with me, then let me focus on you! This person you want to spy on might be amazing, but you're here because YOUR soul needs guidance. If you are so hung up on whether another person is right for you that you'd have me violate their energetic boundaries, then you aren't ready to do this work. It's that simple.

 

With all of that said, I will read for others who aren't present during the reading, but only under certain, limited circumstances. For example, if you are a parent with a minor child, your permission to read for that child will suffice. If you are a married couple, or in a committed relationship, I will (usually) read for you and your spouse as well, even if only one of you shows up. It takes a certain level of commitment to get a person's birth time, so I reserve the right to use my discretion there. But relationship readings MUST be booked as synastry readings. Yes, they cost more. But they take a lot more work, and my time is valuable.

Aren't you a medium as well?

​

Sure am! A reluctant one. Just kidding... sort of. I am a spirit medium, and I have access to the Akashic Records, too. However, astrology is my main database. Meaning, I have to tap in through your astrology chart in order to access any other spirits or guides that may be wanting to contact you. It is frequently the case that I'll be conducting an astrology reading, and a spirit or guide will come through with additional information. However, I have no control over whether that happens, how long the spirit/guide sticks around, what they say, etc. Turns out, I have absolutely zero pull on the other side! That said, if you book an astrology, astro-tarot or coaching session, chances are good that we'll get a visit while we're connecting. And if that is something you DON'T want, please feel free to let me know that before we get started.
