A relatively mellow week that culminates with a Full Moon and Mercury turning direct. The personal planets, Mercury, Venus and Mars, take center stage, as we settle into all of the shifts that took place last week. The Moon is still waxing towards full. She bursts into Aries early Monday morning, where she stays through late Tuesday night. Wednesday and Thursday see her exalted in Taurus, and Friday morning she gets tossed into the chaos that is Gemini. She reaches full in the same sign early Sunday morning, before moving into home sign Cancer in the afternoon.

Tuesday, December 10, 2024 - Sun trine Chiron Rx (19° Sagittarius to Aries)
The Sun forms an easy trine to Chiron, Rx today. Chiron, the Wounded Healer, brings bittersweet energy to our lives. He is the planetary embodiment of pathos, or suffering. As such, he alerts us to our traumas, misfortunes and wounds; but, if we let him, he also teaches us how to transmute those things into wisdom, fueling our spiritual growth. A trine from the Sun says that, at least for today, we can readily sense the pain of others. Perhaps we have some insight into our own vulnerabilities as well. Chiron is in Aries, after all, which is the sign of big “s” Self. Attune yourself to what is needed around you today. Maybe you or someone you love is in need of a little extra patience, understanding, safety, or affection. The energy of the day says that not only will you readily recognize what’s wrong, you can instinctively move towards healing it.
Thursday, December 12, 2024 - Venus opposite Mars Rx (5° Aquarius to Leo)
Did someone say “sexual tension”? Because that’s the order of the day with lovers Venus and Mars locking horns across the Axis of Ego. This energy isn’t necessarily bad or troublesome, it can actually result in some extremely hot encounters. However, if tensions are already heightened in an existing relationship, this aspect is more than enough to cause an eruption. Venus defines our value system - she’s here to help us understand what we want. In Aquarius, all she really wants is freedom. She appreciates the new, the odd and the eccentric. She’s sapiosexual, and she demands to be liberated enough to explore her options at will. Mars, on the other hand, speaks to our desire nature. He helps us to calculate how we go after what we want (as defined by Venus). In Leo, he can be a bit of a tyrant, i.e., he just takes what he wants because he’s the fucking King. But he’s newly retrograde and rather cranky about his impending return to Cancer at the moment, and therefore highly unlikely to put up as much of a fight against Venus as he normally would. Taken together, we seem to have a disconnect between what we want and how we go after it. And since Mars is basically asleep, the suggestion is that we aren’t mounting enough effort. So, maybe try harder? And if that doesn’t work, then it pays to just back off and let Venus wind her way through Aquarius independently. She can’t really be contained here, even if Mars had the wherewithal to try and stop her.
Friday, December 13, 2024 - Mercury Rx sextile Venus (6° Sagittarius to Aquarius)
This is a much nicer Venus interaction than the one she had with Mars yesterday. Her sextile with Mercury Rx brings fun-loving and friendly energy to the day, making it the perfect time to socialize, express love and affection, and engage in bonding activities. Harmony and overall enjoyment should foster more closeness between you and others under this influence. Ask for favors, and look for solutions to issues, because you will find that it’s just easier to say “yes” now. And if you are getting your ass handed to you by more challenging transits, it’s the perfect time to try and smooth over any resulting tensions. Mercury’s retrograde is about to come to an end, so this could signal a time where we make a (very slow and cautious) beginning on integrating whatever he’s been trying to teach us. Overall, it’s extremely smooth sailing today, but you have to make an effort to benefit.
Sunday, December 15, 2024 - Full Moon at 23° Gemini (4:02 a.m.)
The Gemini Full Moon perfects early tomorrow morning at 23° Gemini. It forms a trine to Black Moon Lilith (18° Libra), a sextile to Chiron Rx (19° Aries), and a square to Neptune (27° Pisces). Full Moons are for releasing, and this is the last one of 2024. Gemini is an air sign, and a chaotic one at that. The twins are charged with information gathering. Not curating, not assessing, just gathering. They are overthinkers who tend to bounce from one extreme to another. Not surprisingly, the result is that anxiety is the number one side effect of excessive of Gemini energy. So, wherever you are, take a sacred pause. Inhale and exhale a couple of times. Release some needless worry. You made it. 2025 is right around the corner. This Full Moon is asking you to let go of all the extra mental energy you’ve been carrying around all year. Worry is a useless emotion - no amount of worry has ever solved a single problem - so take this lunation’s advice, and let that shit go. As for aspects, the trine from Lilith and the sextile from Chiron Rx suggest that sexual healing could be on offer for you now. But as always, watch a square from Neptune. Newly direct, he’s back to making everything look a lot rosier than it probably is. Lies, deceit, manipulation… they could all be coming from inside the house at this point. Stay vigilant.
Sunday, December 15, 2024 - Mercury stations direct at 6° Sagittarius (3:56 p.m.)
Huzzah! Mercury stations direct this afternoon, ending 3 weeks of reversed motion through Sagittarius. Many of you will mistakenly believe that the retrograde cycle ends today, and many of you will be unceremoniously reminded that the cycle doesn’t end until he clears the shadow on January 2, 2025, when you let your guard down and get your ears boxed by a Mercury-brand lesson. Don’t let that be you! Yes, the retrograde part of the retrograde is over today, but the entire cycle lasts until Mercury clears the affected degree range completely. Then, and only then, can we be absolutely certain that we are dealing with fresh, unadulterated Mercurial energy. That said, things should start to flow more smoothly now, both in the Sagittarius sector of your chart, and with Mercury energy generally. With some reflection, you may be able to see where some of your outdated belief systems have been tripping you up; and, with any luck, you’ve become willing to make necessary changes and updates to those belief systems, so that you can have more alignment between word and deed. Now is the time to start implementing and integrating some of those changes. Just don’t expect to get it right on the first attempt. The light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter by the day, but there’s still a ways to go.
