A week that has the potential to go sideways if we’re not careful - this is your weekly horoscope for the week of May 12, 2025: Similar to last week, as aspects go, there’s not a whole lot going on this week. However, the aspects that we do have are all a bit cranky and/or disruptive, which is why caution is warranted. We kick things off with a Full Moon in Scorpio, a lunation that can absolutely set a dark tone for the duration of the week. Not helping matters is the fact that Pluto, Scorpio’s ruling planet who is newly retrograde, will be locked in a square with Mercury while the moon peaks. All goes mercifully quiet until the weekend, when Uranus gets lit up with yet another tense square perfecting in the background. The pick of the week is Sunday, which could see us all licking our wounds and making amends, all in the name of personal growth. The Moon starts the week Full, and then begins to wane. After her showdown with the Sun on Monday, she leaps into Sagittarius early Tuesday morning. By Thursday afternoon she’s hanging out in Capricorn, and she enters Aquarius overnight Saturday into Sunday.

Monday, May 12, 2025 - Full Moon (22° Scorpio, 12:56 p.m.); Mercury square Pluto Rx (3° Taurus to Aquarius)
Full Moons are always emotional and potentially upsetting times, but this one has “DUMPSTER FIRE” written all over it. First off, it’s in Scorpio, and the Moon is in her fall in Scorpio. Translation: she does NOT do well here. It’s a bit counterintuitive, because the Moon is the ambassador of our emotional bodies, and Scorpio is the master of the emotional landscape. So you’d think the combo would work out; but alas, it seems as though Pluto’s influence on the sign is too overwhelming for the Moon. She succumbs to negative emotions like jealousy, vengeance, guilt, shame and paranoia here, more often than not. And speaking of Pluto, he’s embroiled in a spat with Mercury today, which absolutely does not help matters. The Full Moon is already stirring up our deepest, darkest emotions, now here comes Pluto and Mercury to make sure that we say the quiet part(s) out loud. Folks, I cannot stress enough how potentially ugly this energy can be. This is the kind of combination that makes you say or do things that put a definitive end to relationships that you might actually want to hang onto. Mind your p’s and q’s today. And if you’re feeling some kind of way, resort to your journal before bringing up old shit. Unless you’re sure that you want to stick a fork in something… in which case, today’s the day for you!
Saturday, May 17, 2025 - Sun conjunct Uranus (27° Taurus); Mercury square Mars (13° Taurus to Leo)
The Sun makes its annual conjunction to Uranus today, and believe it or not, this is the last time that this conjunction will take place in Taurus during this century. From here on out, the conjunctions will take place in Gemini and beyond. Which is a good thing, because Uranus and Taurus have not been terribly happy bedfellows. Uranus entered Taurus back in 2018/2019. He is known as the Great Disruptor, an agent of profound change, updates and upgrades. Taurus, on the other hand, balks at change. As the sign that is most concerned with basic survival, change is generally feared. Thus, for the past seven(ish) years, we have both collectively and personally been wrestling with the uncomfortable reality of having to make changes in an area of our lives where we’d prefer to stagnate indefinitely. When the Sun makes its annual conjunction to Uranus, the nature of those changes and their overall purpose in our lives get highlighted in a major way. That highlight comes around again today - have you heeded the call? Or have you dug in your heels, in true Taurus fashion? If it’s the latter, today’s energy could find you crawling out of your own skin. And people will be all too happy to nag, fight and antagonize you with Mars and Mercury at odds. Growth and comfort rarely coexist.
Sunday, May 18, 2025 - Jupiter sextile Chiron (25° Gemini to Aries)
Finally, some relief from all the angsty vibes of the week. Jupiter forms a lovely sextile to Chiron, bringing a soothing, balm-like energy to the day. Chiron’s energy is bittersweet, and not always perceived in the best light. But a sextile from Jupiter is about as harmonious as it gets; so even if some wounding is triggered, you can rest assured that it will be for your highest and greatest good. Self reflection is favored now. But instead of focusing on what hurts, we can more readily lock in on what’s working: self-worth is increasing, personal resources are in place, financial stability is at hand, hard-won wisdom can be drawn upon - Jupiter helps us to see the proverbial silver lining, whatever it looks like in your manifested reality. This sextile is both abundant and optimistic, making it easier to wield the power that has resulted from the pain, rather than simply dwelling on the pain itself. Today also brings with it the ability to look ahead at all of the ways you can continue to heal, grow and transform into the best version of yourself. Take the next right step towards self-empowerment.
