Pisces season is in full swing, and Mercury is making sure everyone knows it. Here is your weekly horoscope for the week of February 24, 2025: Mercury in Pisces is busy this week. Out of 6 major aspects, he’s involved in half of them. And I hope you weren’t breathing too big of a sigh of relief over Mars turning direct, because we aren’t getting much of a break - Venus turns retrograde in Aries this weekend, and Mercury is hot on her heels as well. Fun times! The Moon is still waning currently, reaching her new phase on Thursday. She starts the week in Capricorn, and floats into Aquarius early Tuesday. She goes dark in Pisces Thursday morning, and resets in Aries on Saturday, where she spends the rest of the weekend.

Tuesday, February 25, 2025 - Mercury conjunct Saturn (20° Pisces)
Curiosity kills the cat under today’s stars, as Mercury meets up with Saturn, the Lord of Karma. As we saw last week, any time that Mercury meets up with another planet, it tends to increase our mental energy in some fashion. A conjunction to Saturn is no exception; but the critical thinking that Saturn brings to the equation has to be applied constructively, or else you’ll spend the day in the Pisces Pit. Saturn is a heavy influence, there’s no way around it. Pisces, on the other hand, likes to meander its way through life, which is what Mercury ends up doing for much of the time that he’s here. But Saturn won’t be letting him wander aimlessly today. Something in the Pisces sector of your chart requires some focused effort. And yes, that’s extremely hard to muster up in Pisces, but if anyone can get you to buckle down here, it’s Saturn. Keep busy, and keep your thoughts positive while you push through your responsibilities. You can see measurable progress under this transit, if you can get yourself out ahead of it.
Thursday, February 27, 2025 - Mercury sextile Uranus (23° Pisces to Taurus); New Moon at 9° Pisces (7:45 p.m.)
Busy busy Mercury throws a sextile to big brother Uranus in Taurus, reigniting the intuitive curiosity that Saturn so rudely stifled earlier in the week. This is an extremely stimulating aspect that will keep you on the hunt for the next person, place or thing that will be charged with entertaining you. Your senses will be heightened and your crown chakra wide open, so stay flexible and amenable to whatever the universe wants to drop in your lap now. We also have the New Moon in Pisces tonight, our last New Moon of this solar cycle. This is a most introverted lunation; one that calls upon us to actively release that which no longer serves us, in full anticipation of the upcoming solar cycle. “Hold on a minute, MsFortune,” you might be saying, “I thought we set intentions under the New Moon, and released under Full Moons?!?” And you would be correct, so what gives? Remember, in mysterious Pisces, in is out and up is down. Thus, we have to set intentions to release things here, so that we can avoid the self-undoing energy that Pisces is notorious for bringing into our experience. We want to walk into the upcoming new year as lightly and surefootedly as we possibly can, so sit with the electrified Pisces energy and marinate on what you can afford to lose.
Saturday, March 1, 2025 - Venus turns retrograde (10° Aries, 7:36 p.m.)
Venus turns retrograde this evening, kicking off a period of about seven weeks during which we will be called to reassess relationships, review our finances, and potentially recalibrate our entire value system. This retrograde cycle sees Venus retrograding from Aries, the first sign of the Zodiac, back into Pisces, the twelfth and final sign of the Zodiac. This is significant because Venus is extremely strong in Pisces, but she is particularly weakened in Aries. Thus, when Venus retrogrades from Aries back into Pisces, we will be invited to reevaluate how we are showing up with regard to Venus themed issues, and it could sting a bit. The suggestion with this retrograde is that we are being too selfish (Aries) in love and/or money, and must approach Venusian situations with more compassion and unconditional love (Pisces). As with Mercury retrograde (which is coming up soon as well), there are some blanket recommendations: If an old relationship resurfaces, you should feel free to explore it, but don’t assume that it means you should get back together. Oftentimes, Venus is just trying to show you that you can’t reheat McDonalds fries, so to speak. Avoid major purchases if you can, because everyone’s values are off and chances are good that you’ll suffer buyers’ remorse when the energy corrects itself. And for the love of God DO NOT get any cosmetic surgery or convince yourself to cut bangs. Regular self care is fine, but use caution if you’re trying out a new stylist, for example. Tattoos and unnecessary dental work are also not advised. Venus spins direct on April 12 at 24° Pisces.
Sunday, March 2, 2025 - Mercury conjunct Neptune (28° Pisces); Sun square Jupiter (12° Pisces to Gemini)
A pair of aspects, most of which involve Pisces energy, as Mercury meets up with Neptune and the Pisces Sun squares Jupiter. Neptune and Jupiter are the co-rulers of Pisces, so there are a couple of layers to this. First, the aspects themselves: Mercury conjunct Neptune in Pisces dissolves all logic. Best of luck trying to put together a linear thought today, as Neptune’s influence over Mercury will see you forgetting things before they even become fully conscious. That won’t stop you though, because the Sun’s square to Jupiter pumps up your ego and makes you feel ten feet tall and bulletproof, even if you can't string together a coherent sentence. You’ll feel as though you can do no wrong under this influence, and you will be 100% wrong about that! Here’s the thing: having both co-rulers of Pisces triggered at once is significant, doubly so since three out of the four planets involved are actually in Pisces already. Jupiter is the odd man out here, and he’s the one that usually brings wisdom to the party. So, whatever happens today, just know that you aren’t seeing the whole picture clearly. Maybe it’s deception at play (a Neptune/Mercury specialty), or maybe you simply lack the maturity necessary to really understand what’s going on. Either way, caution is warranted. A massive puzzle piece is missing.
