Happy New Year!! This is your weekly horoscope for the week of March 17, 2025: The Sun is the busiest of beavers, making five out of the six major aspects that we will see this week - not the least of which is his move into Aries, HUZZAH!!! We’ve survived another winter here in the northern hemisphere. By the time most of us wake up on Thursday morning, Aries season, Ostara and International Astrology Day will be upon us. Let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves, though. These last few days of Pisces season will pack a massive karmic punch, with the Sun crossing the Lunar Nodes and Neptune in the last degree of the entire zodiac. Get ready to fall into the abyss! The Moon is waning towards her New phase. She starts the week embroiled in Scorpio before blazing into Sagittarius on Wednesday evening. Saturday sees her climbing the corporate ladder in Capricorn, where she stays throughout the weekend.

Monday, March 17, 2025 - Sun conjunct the North Node (27° Pisces)

The Pisces Sun meets the Lunar Nodes today, crossing over the North Node and opposing the Virgo South Node. Your personal evolution beckons. The Lunar Nodes are often referred to as destiny points; and it’s true that they do speak to the path that your soul chose to walk in this lifetime. But the way that path unfolds is not set in stone. It’s more like a “choose your own adventure” story. In fact, because of the Lunar Nodes’ strong connection to the Moon, we can best understand them as indicators of just how much our subconscious shapes our manifested reality. Think of the Virgo South Node as the subconscious habit patterns that are familiar, comfortable, but holding you back (negative self-talk, perfectionist tendencies, wanting to fix people, etc.). Now, think of the Sun atop the Pisces North Node as the antidote: the conscious motivations that will move you towards the highest and greatest potential for your unique soul. In Pisces, this involves releasing rigidity in favor of flow, honoring your intuition, surrendering and showing compassion. Today, the Sun shines its abundant light on your path. Hopefully, it’s a mysterious tributary that leads to uncharted waters and untold mysteries. Don’t let fear or a perceived lack of control stop you. Trust. Put one foot in front of the other. 

Wednesday, March 19, 2025 - Sun conjunct Neptune (29° Pisces)

Boundaries of all shapes and sizes will be damn near impossible to come by today, as the Sun makes its annual conjunction to Neptune. As the word “annual” implies, we get this conjunction once a year. However, this year’s conjunction is rather atypical, because it’s taking place at the anaretic (or last) degree of not only Pisces, but the entire zodiac wheel. The last time the Sun and Neptune met up at this location was March 20, 1861, almost 164 years ago, to the day. The 29th degree of Pisces is hugely significant, because it is the omega point. It’s where everything unravels. The soul, having completed its earthly journey, approaches this degree and promptly falls into the abyss, to be born again at the 0 degree of Aries (in a completely new body, time and location). Like Quantum Leap. No one alive today has experienced this energy, so it’s anyone’s guess how it will show up for you. But keep your wits about you. Having no boundaries can be beautiful in the right context, and an absolute nightmare in others. Be prepared to see things you can’t unsee. 

Thursday, March 20, 2025 - Sun enters Aries (5:01 a.m.)

Happy New Year! Blessed Ostara! Happy International Astrology Day!! The Sun has moved into Aries, kicking off a brand spanking new solar cycle. Spring has officially sprung, and this New England girl couldn’t be happier about it (iykyk). The Sun is exalted in Aries - it’s his favorite place to be (sorry, Leo) - bringing us enhanced vitality, confidence and leadership qualities. Your ability to take charge of something is heightened now; the energy around us all is assertive, self-assured, proactive and bold. NOW is the time to make some resolutions for yourself for the coming year. Bonus points if you tailor those resolutions to the house Aries rules in your natal chart! Taking calculated risks is favored, as is renewing your determination and motivation to go after something that might have fallen by the wayside. Do remember that Venus and Mercury are retrograde here now. They will both backtrack into Pisces next week, and return to Aries later this spring. So use this energy to reanimate something; breathe life into a project or relationship that has seen better days. Totally new ventures, while tempting, are probably not favored just yet. 

Friday, March 21, 2025 - Venus Rx sextile Pluto (3° Aries to Aquarius)

Intrigue may be on the menu today, as Venus Rx makes her second of a series of three sextiles to Pluto. This is a repeating aspect due to her retrograde. The first installment came at us on February 7th, while she was still in direct motion. If you have any points or planets in the first few degrees of any sign, think back to that timeframe. It’s likely that there’s a story playing out, and you may experience the second chapter of that story today. Like all planets that tussle with Pluto, Venus is overwhelmed by him. Normally joyous and free, Venus mixed with Pluto is a vixen - dark, sultry and seductive. Fortunately this is a series of sextiles, so whatever is happening is helpful in some way. Intense change, secretive actions, profound obsessions… these are all par for the course now. Remember that Venus is retrograde, so you aren’t looking for something novel. Rather, this is a continuation of a still-unfolding story. We don’t know how it ends. We’ll get to the last chapter on or around May 6th, when they connect for a final time with Venus direct and Pluto retrograde. 

Saturday, March 22, 2025 - Sun conjunct Venus Rx (2° Aries)

The Sun and Venus Rx meet up today, marking the midpoint of the latter’s retrograde cycle. This is the cazimi window, where Venus is said to be in the Sun’s heart - fully illuminated (and possibly a bit scorched) by the Sun’s abundant light. Today is when the point of her retrograde gets hammered home in some tangibly way. Themes of love, beauty, values and aesthetics are infused with the Sun’s vitality, while the issues her retrograde cycle has been trying to bring to your attention are made fully conscious. No more guesswork, after today. You see what needs to be recalibrated, and where your values have been skewed, in all of its glorious splendor. However, the cycle is far from complete. Just because you see what the issue is doesn’t mean you immediately know how to fix it. There is far more that has yet to be revealed, and a whole ass dip back into Pisces that we still have to endure. So sit back, sweet cheeks. Venus (and Mercury) are just hitting their stride. 

Sunday, March 23, 2025 - Sun sextile Pluto (3° Aries to Aquarius)

Your need to succeed is amplified today, as the Sun forms an easy sextile to Pluto. This aspect bestows determination and boosts purpose - you are more than ready to start achieving your goals. If you are facing down a more difficult task, Pluto’s obsessive and compulsive tendencies can be harnessed for good now. Breaking things down and purging them should be easy, and will bring tons of satisfaction. The energy of this sextile also sends the attraction factor into the stratosphere. Sexuality and magnetism are high, as always with Pluto, but it’s more than that. Pluto is raw power, and the Sun’s assist amps that power up in a supremely conscious and (hopefully) beneficial way. This combination ensures that your influence over others is substantial, even irresistible. Used well, this aspect can see you making huge gains today. Stay on the side of the light.
